Vybez ZA (registration 2026/338856/07), Cape Town, South Africa ("we") runs this website and our events. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

• Ticket purchases: your name, email address, optional phone number, what you bought and when. Card payments are handled by Yoco; we never see or store your card details.
• Entry at the door: when your ticket is scanned and which staff member checked you in.
• Mailing list: your email address, and first name and WhatsApp number if you give them, with a record of your consent.
• Private booking enquiries: the details you send us in the enquiry form.
• Website use: if you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads measure how visitors find and use the site. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set.

Why we use it

• To process your order, send your ticket and let you into the event.
• To contact you about your booking, for example if an event changes.
• To send event news and offers, only if you opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To reply to enquiries, prevent fraud at the door and improve our website and advertising.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We use these service providers to run the service: Yoco (payments), Supabase (secure database), Brevo (ticket emails), Netlify (website hosting) and, if you accept cookies, Google (Analytics and Ads). Some of them store data outside South Africa under agreements that protect it to a standard comparable to POPIA.

How long we keep it

Order and entry records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes (normally five years). Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries are kept for up to two years.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to direct marketing at any time, and withdraw consent. Email vybezza@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

We only use analytics and advertising cookies if you click Accept on the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time: cookie settings.

Age

Our events are for people aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.
